YELLOWJACKETS TO RELEASE NEW RECORDING FEATURING MIKE STERN.
When a formidable jazz quartet like the Yellowjackets convenes in the studio with a high-energy guitar virtuoso like Mike Stern, the resulting reaction will be a singular event – one that’s likely to create something entirely new on the jazz landscape.
This phenomenon is captured on Lifecycle (HUCD 3141), the new collaborative recording by the Jackets and Stern set for worldwide release on Heads Up International a division of Concord Music Group on May 20, 2008. The first Yellowjackets recording in 15 years to feature a guitar player, Lifecycle illustrates the kind of energy and creative brilliance that results when five talented players pool their individual talents as songwriters and musicians and merge into an entity that’s far greater than the sum of its parts...

MINT JAM DVD featuring YELLOWJACKETS now available!
Yellowjackets are excited to have completed the long awaited Mint Jam DVD. The nine song DVD, mixed in both stereo and 5.1 surround sound, includes several bonuses; an impromptu and previously unreleased version of "Spirit of the West", several alternate performances of songs originally included on the double CD, and informative interviews with band and crew members. Mint Jam occupies a special place in the Jackets' discography. It was their first recording with then, new drummer, Marcus Baylor, and the first release on their own private label. The DVD brings to life the excitement and energy of these two nights which were a turning point in the band's history.

Heads Up International celebrates the 25th anniversary of Yellowjackets with the May 23, 2006, release of Twenty-Five (HUCD 3112), a combination CD/bonus DVD package that captures two electrified live performances by the Jackets during their European tour in the fall of 2005.
In addition to the live performances themselves, the DVD portion of the two-disc release offers an array of behind-the-scenes material: interviews with band members (past and present) and session players, and a variety of other background and retrospective footage.
